So I'm a Stay at Home Mom (SAHM) and thankful that I'm able to do it. But sometimes I am reminded of the money I could be making if I were in the working world. There are a few things I'm doing to MAKE extra money, but I remember from a finance class that I took, SPENDING LESS is really the same as making money when you are doing the math. So my goal is to make/save enough money being home with my kiddos as I could out in the working world without sacrificing being the kind of mom I like to be. One available opportunity is couponing.
Everyone's seen the kooky shows, but it can be a real tool for real people who need to stretch their budget in a shaky economy. I'm taking a practical approach to couponing, only buying what I really want and need instead of just anything on sale. My philosophy is that if you're spending money on things you wouldn't have otherwise purchased, you're not doing yourself any good.
So that said, join me in my journey to becoming a coupon queen "making" tens of thousands of dollars a year for my family. I'll share with you my mistakes and secrets in hopes that you too can benefit from the sometimes mocked habit of couponing.
